Rain Forces Changes to Bull Run Baseball Playoffs

The William Monroe and Madison County baseball teams will both have to wait an extra day before starting play in the Bull Run District tournament.

Both teams had their first round games postponed on Monday because of rain. The games were both pushed back to Tuesday.

The Greene Dragons are the top seed in the tournament. They will host Rappahannock at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Monroe's home game against George Mason in the Bull Run softball tournament was also pushed back to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Mountaineers were supposed to travel to George Mason for Monday's playoff baseball game, with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. Site and time for Tuesday's make-up could change depending on weather conditions.
