With National Signing Day fast approaching, a pair of teammates on the high-powered Monticello offense may soon have college decisions to make.
Monticello coach Rodney Redd says wide receiver Sam Patterson and running back Isaac Robinson have both been hearing from several schools.
Patterson, who caught 30 passes for 872 yards and nine touchdowns in his first season with the Mustangs in 2011, is visiting VMI this weekend, Redd said. Redd said Patterson is also planning to visit Richmond, and has heard from other FCS programs in the state.
A visit to VMI is also a possibility for Robinson, who ran for 2,017 yards and 28 touchdowns last fall. Redd said Robinson is also planning to visit Division-II Virginia State, and other schools have started showing interest in the all-district running back.
National Signing Day is February 1.
