Annie Heyl plays field hockey in the fall, and soccer in the spring. She does all this while managing to maintain a 4.0 grade point average in the classroom.
Heyl insists that her motivation for academic success is brought through her family. Her parents have created a schedule for her to maximize her talents on the field and in the classroom. Annie has high aspirations to take her academic success to the next level as she is applying early to Georgetown University, and is also considering UVa and Columbia University as well.
The Hornets field hockey team is at the conclusion of it's regular season. Heyl is a captain on the team and is leading the Hornets into the Jefferson District playoffs as the third seed.
Heyl says that her last wish in high school would come true if the Hornets field hockey team could taste the state playoffs once again.
