Kristy Leahong exhibits leadership characteristics that are matched by very few.
She is the captain of the Covenant School field hockey team and has more years of experience on the team than her head coach does driving. Kate Levie is a second-year at UVa and is the head coach of the Covenant Eagles field hockey team. Her relationship with Leahong is a very special one, and it shows on and off the field.
Kristy also does well in the classroom. She maintains a 3.5 grade point average while taking three advance placement courses.
Field hockey isn't the only sport where she sees success. Kristy is a four year member of the varsity lacrosse team at Covenant, and has won a L.I.S. title with the team already.
However, winning a title with her field hockey team is one thing she would love to accomplish before graduating in the spring.
