Kayla Hooper is a captain of the Orange County Field Hockey team. A squad which reached the Jefferson District finals, only to be just short of a title.
Nothing should be taken away from the Hornets season, especially their leader. As Kayla battled back from an ACL injury which ended her soccer season last year, and threatened her playing time with field hockey this fall. Hooper recovered nicely. In only four months she was able to return to the field and help her team.
Kayla also does well in the classroom. Maintaining a 3.6 grade point average and is a member of the National Honors Society.
