Western Albemarle swimming coach Dan Bledsoe said it best. His job is much easier having a student-athlete like Chris McConnell around. The senior's number one priority in the pool is making those around him better, especially the underclassmen.
McConnell is a two sport athlete for Western, and shines on the golf course as well as in the pool. He also maintains a 4.0 grade point average in the classroom, and credits his work-ethic toward self-discipline and time management.
Before graduation, McConnell wishes to see the girls swim team at Western Albemarle win the state championship, showing why he is a true team player for the blue and gold of the Warriors.
