Michelle Best brings the attitude and skill that every coach wants to see out of their athletes, but does more than just perform. Best, a senior on the Louisa County High School track and field team, is active in her community and gets the grades as well.

On the track, the senior is a member of the Lions' nationally ranked 4 x 200 meter relay team. She has been participating in track and field since the sixth grade and has steadily improved throughout her middle school and high school career. Best tried her hand at field hockey as well, participating in the sport for the first time last year and played a big part in promoting team unity and chemistry that led to success on the field.

Best also makes her presence known in the community. She is active in her church and also performs community service because she enjoys helping other people. She has been enrolled in AP courses since she arrived at the high school and holds a 3.7 grade point average.
