Buckingham Softball is having a fantastic season on the diamond this year. They've only lost three games with two of them being in district. A major contributor toward the success is senior Javannah Taylor.
Taylor joined the team as a freshman as a pitcher. Though she grabbed honors as a pitcher during her freshmen and sophomore campaigns, she made the switch to short stop to fill a void due to graduating seniors in Javannah's junior year. This season she's done the same. The team's starting catcher went down with a knee injury leaving the spot open -- Javannah stepped right in.
Her versatility shows in school also. Javannah maintains a 3.667 grade point average and will attend Radford University in the Fall to play softball.
