This season Josh Hinkle was a key member of the Fluvanna boys' basketball team that won a Jefferson District regular season title, a Region Two championship and made an appearance in the state playoffs.
"It was just an amazing feeling to go all the way to states and come so close to a state title," says Hinkle.
Hinkle has had even more success on the soccer field. He's been a member of the varsity team since his freshman year, and he's helped lead the Flucos to back-to-back Jefferson district titles as a center midfielder.
"It's been awesome just being a part of a winning team," says Hinkle. "We've been improving a lot over the years and just to get two district titles is amazing."
Hinkle gets the job done in the classroom as well. He has a 3.75 weighted GPA and ranks in the top 15% of his senior class. He has narrowed down his college choices to James Madison, Virginia Tech or Lynchburg College.
