Ashley Bowles has been a three year starter for the Miller School girls' basketball team, averaging 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game during her career. Last season, Bowles helped lead the Mavericks to a state championship. For her efforts, Bowles was named Blue Ridge Conference Player of the Year, VISGBA Division III player of the year and 1st Team All-Central Virginia. She is also a two-year captain for the Mavericks.
When it comes to sports, basketball is not the only passion for Bowles. She and her family build, maintain and race dragsters on the Virginia drag racing circuit.
Bowles is not only successful on the court and the race track, she's also successful in the classroom. She currently carries a 4.26 weighted GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She also serves as Chief Resident Advisor for the Miller School.
Bowles has signed to play basketball with Davis and Elkins College next year.
