Burger King Student Athlete of the Week: Carrie Jacobs

October 14, 2010

Orange County field hockey player Carrie Jacobs is this week's selection for Burger King Student Athlete of the Week.

Jacobs is a star on the field hockey field. She was a second-team all-state selection in 2008 and a first-team all-state selection in 2009. This season, Jacobs is a captain and has helped lead Orange to the best record in the Jefferson District.

Jacobs stays busy in the classroom as well. She currently has a 3.67 GPA while taking AP/Dual Enrollment classes. She says she really enjoys learning and taking on the challenges those courses present.

Next year, Jacobs plans to play field hockey at either Randolph-Macon or Lynchburg College. Upon graduating from college, she plans to pursue a career in disaster relief.
