Virginia ranks right in the middle of the pack when it comes to ACC rushing defense, allowing 110 yards per game on the ground. The Cavaliers will face their toughest rushing test to date, as it faces the best duo of tailbacks that the ACC has to offer.

Maryland's Keon Lattimore and Lance Ball combine for 151.8 rushing yards per game, and have also combined for 15 touchdowns this season. Lattimore averages 94 yards per contest, good enough for third in the ACC. Both scored key second half touchdowns in last year's 28-26 come-from-behind victory at Scott Stadium.

The Virginia defense has a history of shutting down top rushers. The Cavs held Tashard Choice of Georgia Tech to 19 yards. At the time, Choice was the ACC's leading rusher.
