When Staton Jobe takes the field in the Gator Bowl on New Years Day, he will be opposite the team that he grew up learning to love. Jobe, a native Texan, had the opportunity to play at Texas Tech, but chose the orange and blue instead.

Both Jobe's father and brother played football for the Red Raiders, and now will watch their family member battle their alma mater in Jacksonville. The walk-on-turned-starter is working his way into Al Groh's system, pulling down 15 receptions on the season for 156 yards. His lone touchdown came as the game winner against Georgia Tech at Scott Stadium on September 22.

Virginia and Texas Tech kick off in the Gator Bowl at 1:00pm on New Years Day, and CBS19 will have you covered with Cavalier Pregame: Road to the Gator Bowl at 12:30 on game day. Tune into CBS19 to get all the information you need leading up to kickoff.
