Virginia's Jerome Meyinsse turned 19 on December 18, and has had the two best games of his career since.
The sophomore scored a career-high 12 points against Elon on Saturday on 5-for-5 shooting. On Wednesday, he scored nine points and had a career-high nine rebounds.
Meyinsse has been getting more playing time due because upperclassmen Tunji Soroye, Lars Mikalauskas, and Ryan Pettinella have been nursing injuries. Meyinsse is averaging 21.5 minutes in the past two games. He averaged 6.7 minutes in 15 games last season.
