Mike London built the Virginia defense into one of the most feared in the country, and now the captain of the "Orange Crush" might be leaving the Cavaliers. Sources tell CBS19 that on Monday, London met with the University of Richmond to interview for the Spiders' head coaching job.
The move would certainly not be a surprise. London used to play for the Spiders, was an assistant for the team, and interviewed for the head coaching job in 2004. Dave Clawson took the position three years ago, but last week was named Offensive Coordinator for the University of Tennessee.
Other candidates for the job include Citadel Head Coach Kevin Higgins, who interviewed last night; South Florida Offensive Coordinator Greg Gregory, a former UVA assistant; and current interim head coach Russ Huesman.
