Dave Leitao's Virginia Men's Basketball Team has stumbled upon tough times as of late. The Cavaliers are out to a 1-4 ACC start, the worst of Leitao's tenure at the head of the program, and they have lost five of their last six. Two of those losses came at home in overtime, a place where the Cavs only lost a single game last season.
The road ahead is a tough one for Virginia, as three of its next four games come away from John Paul Jones Arena. The stretch begins on Wednesday, as the Cavaliers head to Maryland. Last season, Virginia grabbed two key conference wins against the Terps, topping Maryland at home, and then winning at the Comcast Center.
After Maryland, Virginia travels to Blacksburg on Saturday for a rematch with Virginia Tech, who got past the Wahoos, 70-69, in overtime on January 16. The Cavs return home to face Clemson on February 7, before hitting the road to battle Wake Forest on February 9.
Tip off for Wednesday's game is set for 7:00 in College Park. The Terrapins are 12-8, 2-3 in the ACC.
