Monica Wright scored 17 points, while Lyndra Littles added 15, as the Cavalier Women's Basketball Team rolled past Morehead State, 88-43, the Wahoos' final non-conference game of the season. The win improves Virginia's record to 17-5, the squad's best start since 2004-2005.
The Eagles played well for the first few minutes of the game, leading 17-16 at one point early in the first half, but that's when the Cavaliers slammed the door. Wright scored 15 of her 17 points in the first half, as the Cavs took a 48-26 lead into halftime.
Aisha Mohammed tallied her ninth double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and pulling down ten rebounds. Virginia improves to 11-2 at home on the season.
The Cavaliers return to action on Friday, as they travel to College Park to face Maryland. The Terrapins topped Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena earlier this season.
