The Virginia women's basketball team has a tough test this Friday, as the Cavaliers welcome North Carolina to John Paul Jones Arena. Virginia has won 12 of its last 14 games, and will look to upset the nation's third ranked team.
The Tar Heels enter at 9-0 in the ACC, and as the only unbeaten team in conference play. They boast an overall mark of 22-2, with one of the losses coming to then-top ranked Connecticut. Virginia, meanwhile, enters at 18-6, 6-2 in the conference. The Cavs only two ACC losses came to Maryland. Currently, the Wahoos are fourth in the conference behind the Tar Heels, Terrapins, and Duke.
Last season, the two squads met in Chapel Hill, with North Carolina cruising to the 96-62 victory. Lyndra Littles scored 19 points, while Monica Wright added 17 in the loss.
