Despite leading No. 3 North Carolina at the half, the Virginia Women fell to the Tar Heels Friday, 90-82. Lyndra Littles scored 22 points to lead Virginia. Sharnee Zoll added 18 points. Four Cavaliers scored in double-figures.
Virginia's (18-7, 6-3 ACC) last four losses have come to teams ranked in the top four in the nation.
LaToya Pringle led all scorers with 28 points. Erlana Larkins had 21 points and 18 rebounds for the Tar Heels.
The Cavaliers travel to Virginia Tech on Sunday.
