After snapping its seven game losing streak on Sunday, the Cavalier men look to start a winning streak. Virginia improved to 2-9 on the season with the victory, and will look to make the most of its five remaining games.
Dave Leitao says that his team plays at its best when everybody contributes, and that's exactly what the Cavaliers did on Sunday. Four players reached double figures in scoring, led by Mamadi Diane's 20 points. Sean Singletary pitched in 16, while Laurynas Mikalauskas scored 13 and Mike Scott added 11. The freshman forward even connected on a three pointer.
Meanwhile, the most important of Diane's points came with 45 seconds to play, when he hit a three pointer from the wing to put the Cavaliers up by four, and close the door on the Eagles.
Now it's on to Atlanta on Thursday, where Georgia Tech awaits. The Yellow Jackets topped the Wahoos back on January 27, 92-82, in overtime. Tip off for Thursday's contest is set for 7:00pm. Georgia Tech is coming off a one point loss at Miami.
