The NCAA Tournament is comprised of 65 teams to decide the national champion. For those not fortunate enough to make the big dance, there's the National Invitation Tournament, made up of 35 more teams. On the horizon, however, is another postseason college basketball tournament.
A group in New Jersey is proposing a 16 team tournament called the College Basketball Invitational. Mac McDonald discusses this new tournament, as well as its format, in this week's VoiceTrax. The Voice of the Cavaliers also talks about the group's hope to go after the next best teams that do not make the NCAA Tournament.
VoiceTrax with Mac McDonald can be seen every Wednesday during CBS19 News at 5:00. Click on the above video link to view this week's segment.
