The Cavalier men's basketball team was to tip off with Georgia Tech tonight at 7:00, but a leak in the roof or Alexander Memorial Coliseum forced officials to postpone tonight's scheduled action. The postponement was announced roughly 30 minutes after the game was scheduled to start.
Virginia was hoping to continue momentum after its road win on Sunday at Boston College, and looked to make it two wins in a row. The Cavaliers currently sit at 2-9 on the season in the conference. Georgia Tech is coming off a one point loss to Miami, and sits at 4-6 in the ACC standings.
Currently there is no reschedule date for tonight's postponed game, but the ACC will work with both Virginia and Georgia Tech to come up with a reasonable time to make up the game in Atlanta. We will keep you updated on a date and time for that game here on wcav.tv.
Virginia's next contest is at home on Sunday, as it welcomes NC State to John Paul Jones Arena. Tip off is set for 4:30.
