The Virginia Men's Tennis team defeated No. 5 Texas Friday night at the Boyd Tinsley Courts, 5-2. With the win, the Cavaliers avenge their only loss in the new venue, and improve to 22-1 since the Courts opened in 2006.
Despite losing the doubles' point, Virginia won five of the six singles matches, all in straight sets. Somdev Devvarman notched his 16th consecutive singles win his 21st-straight dual match win, dating back to last season.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday as they host No. 9 Baylor.
