The Virginia Men's and Women's lacrosse teams, both ranked in the Top-5, defeated the Syracuse Orange on Saturday.
At the Face-Off Classic in Baltimore, Maryland, Brian Carrol's goal in sudden death overtime lifted the No. 3 Cavs past No. 7 Orange, 14-13. Ben Rubeor scored once and had two assists in his first game of the season, while Danny Glading led the 'Hoos with five points (3 goals, 2 assists). Virginia improves to 4-0. They host VMI on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, at Klockner Stadium, the Cavalier Women rally in the second half to beat the No. 4 Orange, 13-8. Blair Weymouth led the Cavs with 5 goals, while Brittany Kalkstein added 4 goals. The No. 2 Cavaliers (3-0, 1-0 ACC) travel to No. 5 Maryland on Wednesday.
