Cavs Improve to 10-0 with win over Cornell, 12-3

CHARLOTTESVILLE

No. 16 Virginia defeated Cornell Sunday, 12-3. The Cavs are 10-0 and are off to their best start in school history.

Dan Grovatt went 4-for-5 with three doubles, and two RBI. Jeremy Farrell extended his hitting streak to nine games.

Jeff Lorick got the win for the Cavaliers, pitching five innings and striking out three.

Virginia kicks off its first road trip Tuesday, traveling to VMI for a 4 p.m. game. The Cavaliers open ACC play next weekend at NC State.
