Ben Rubeor scored a game high four goals, while Danny Gladding added three goals and six assists, as the third ranked Cavalier men's lacrosse team powered past Virginia Military Institute, 24-5. The win came on a night in which torrential downpours were part of the scene at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia jumped out to a 14-4 lead by halftime, as 14 different Cavaliers scored at least one goal in the win. Gladding's six assists served as a career high. The Keydets fall to 1-4.
Rubeor played his first full game after nursing an ankle injury. The returning All American looks to bolster Virginia's already solid offense.
The Cavaliers get back to work on Saturday, as they travel to Princeton to take on the Tigers.
