Monica Wright's career-high 31 points weren't enough to carry the Cavs past No. 2 North Carolina in ACC Semifinals Saturday, 80-65. Rashanda McCants led the Tar Heels with 23 points and 10 rebounds as UNC advances to the ACC title game for the seventh straight season.
Lyndra Littles added 15 points and 14 rebounds for UVa, while Aisha Mohammed scored 10 points. The Tar Heels led by as many as 22 points.
The Cavs return to Charlottesville and await a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show is Monday, March 17th.
The Tar Heels face Duke in the ACC Championship Game Sunday.
