A College Basketball Invitational official told CBS19 at 11:45 pm Sunday that the Cavs first round opponent has not been determined. The tournament committee is still working on the bracket and tying loose ends. The official confirmed that Houston, Cincinnati, and Washington will compete in the tournament.
The 16-team tournament consists of universities that weren't invited to play in the NCAA Tournament or NIT. The Cavaliers accepted an invite to the CBI on Saturday.
The Cavaliers (15-15) are coming off a loss to Georgia Tech in the first round of the ACC Tournament. This the Cavs' third consecutive trip to the postseason.
