Kevin Sauer's Cavalier rowing team will hit the water for its first race of the season tomorrow, as Virginia welcomes Bucknell to the Rivanna Reservoir. The Cavaliers are coming off a season that saw them finish second at the NCAA Championships.

The Wahoos will look for a boost from both varsity eight boats, along with their varsity four, the latter of which won a national championship last season. As for the Bison, they are an up and coming team looking for national recognition, and will give Virginia a good test in the early part of the season.

Coach Sauer says that he is excited to get a feel for where his team is at after an off season full of work. Virginia will travel to California to face UCLA, California, and Stanford next weekend.
