The Florida State Seminoles complete a sweep of the Virginia baseball team Sunday by winning each double-header game in the tenth inning.
In Game 1, Florida State won 3-2 on one-out Jack Rye single up the middle off of Matt Packer. Pat McAnaney threw another solid outing for the Cavs, allowing just two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched.
In Game 2, the Seminoles won by an identical score, 3-2. With the bases loaded and the infield in, Tyler Holt hit a game-winning infield single as Greg Miclat's throw to the plate was not in time. The Cavs got another gem from their starting pitcher. Andrew Carraway struck out a career-high 10 batters in earning a no decision
The Cavs take on Longwood at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Liberty at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
