Blair Weymouth scored four goals on senior night, as the Virginia women's lacrosse team topped George Mason, 16-3. The Cavaliers finish their regular season 12-3, and will await next week's ACC Tournament, which will face of Thursday at Klockner Stadium.
Weymouth was not the only player to stand out, as Ashley McCulloch scored a goal and dished out four assists. Kaitlin Duff scored two goals and had an assist as well. With the victory, the fourth ranked Wahoos lock up an undefeated home schedule, the first time that has been accomplished since 1996.
Virginia jumped out to a 10-0 lead by halftime, treating the home crowd to a terrific performance. The Cavaliers held George Mason scoreless until 17:52 remaining in the second half, the longest they have gone without an opponent scoring all season.
The Cavaliers have earned a first round bye in the ACC Tournament. Official seedings will be announced this weekend.
