John Barr's two-run double in the sixth inning leads the Cavaliers past the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 4-2, Friday night. The freshman outfielder went 1-for-2 on the evening as the Cavaliers improve to 12-7 in the ACC.
Virginia fell behind early after Pat McAnaney served up a 2-run homerun in the first inning to Willy Fox. McAnaney would settle down after, allowing just five hits over five innings. Neal Davis pitched three scoreless innings in relief, and Michael Schwimer earned his 11th save.
