Somdev Devvarman advanced to the second round of the NCAA Singles Tournament on Wednesday, ousting Vanderbilt's Ryan Preson, 6-1,6-3. It marks the Virginia senior's 13th NCAA Tournament win, tying the NCAA record for most wins in the event.

Treat Huey and Dom Inglot were not so lucky. Both of Devvarman's teammates were eliminated of the first day of play, both falling in three sets. Huey and Devvarman will team up on Thursday as the number one seed in the doubles competition.
