The Cavalier baseball team will take the field in the NCAA Regional for the fifth consecutive season, and will head west for the second time in that span. Virginia will head to California State-Fullerton for the four team NCAA Regional.

Virginia is the third seed in the region, and will begin play on Friday against UCLA. The top seeded Cal State Fullerton Titans will take on fourth seeded Rider. The Cavaliers have been ousted in the NCAA Regional in each of the last four seasons.

Virginia is currently 38-21 on the season, and fell to Miami, 8-4, in the ACC Championship game. Four ACC teams have been selected as host schools, and three of them are in the top four. Miami is the top seed in the tournament, while North Carolina is number two. Florida State is number four, with NC State unseeded, but hosting a regional.

We will have much more on the Cavaliers berth to the field of 64 throughout the week right here on wcav.tv.
