Linebacker Clint Sintim and offensive tackle Eugene Monroe have been named to the preseason All-ACC team. The team was decided today at the annual ACC Kickoff event in Greensboro, Georgia.

Sintim enters his senior year as one of the most fierce linebackers in college football. He was third on the team last season with 77 tackles, and led the nation in sacks by a linebacker with nine, including three against arch rival Virginia Tech. He has also been named to the Bronko Nagurski Watch List this preseason as the nation’s best defensive player.

Monroe did not allow a sack at all last year during the regular season. He is widely regarded as one of the top interior offensive lineman in the country. He was ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week following Virginia's 22-20 at North Carolina on September 15 last year. Monroe has been named to the Preseason Outland Trophy Watch List as the nation’s best interior lineman.

Clemson quarterback Cullen Harper was named the preseason conference Player of the Year. He received 34 votes of a possible 64 votes, well ahead of teammate James Davis, who received 16.
