Al Groh sat down with CBS19's Marc Davis during CBS19 News at Noon on Monday for the first of his weekly interviews, which take place every Monday during the football season. Groh discussed his team's game against USC, as well as the upcoming match up with Richmond at Scott Stadium this Saturday.
The head coach talked about how USC was a good opponent, but the Cavaliers were not happy at all with the way they performed. He also talked about Trojans quarterback Mark Sanchez, as well as Peter Lalich under center for Virginia. Groh says that the only way to determine if his team can move forward is to see the results, and he will see what Saturday's result brings.
Coach Groh also talked about his upcoming game with the Spiders on Saturday, where former defensive coordinator Mike London will be at the head of the Richmond sideline. London's Spiders are a national powerhouse when it comes to the Football Championship Subdivision, as they are ranked fourth in the country at that level. Groh also talked about his running backs, saying that Cedric Peerman was one of the few players who lived up to expectations this past weekend.
