The Virginia men's soccer team won its second straight game on Sunday, beating Hofstra 4-2 at Klockner Stadium.
The Cavaliers got off to a quick start against the Pride. Tony Tchani scored his first goal of the season in the 5th minute. Four minutes later, Tchani scored his second goal of the night to put Virginia in front 2-0. Hofstra got on the board in the 33rd minute to cut the lead to 1, but Virginia responded five minutes later when Matt Mitchell scored his first goal of the year. The Cavaliers were up 3-1 at the half.
Virginia put the game away in the second half when Chris Agorsor scored on a header from a corner kick. The Pride would get another goal, but the Cavaliers would hold on for the win to improve to 2-2-0 on the year.
The Cavaliers take on VCU on Saturday night.
