Peter Lalich's message was short, sweet, and to the point during Tuesday's press conference.
"I have never smoked or done any drugs while on probation."
This after published reports implicated the quarterback in drug and alcohol use late last week. Lalich chose not to speak out about the accusations then, choosing instead to focus on his game. The sophomore did say that it upset him to have his name dragged through the mud during the last few days.
Lalich has started both games for Virginia this season, completing 52.7 percent of his passes for 359 yards and three interceptions. Al Groh says that he is progressing at the position, and he is happy with the way his starter is headed.
