Six different Cavaliers found the back of the net, as the Virginia women's soccer team topped NC State on Thursday, 6-0. The victory marks the Wahoos' most lopsided ACC victory since 2004.
Lauren Alwine got the Cavs on the board in the 39th minute to begin the scoring for Virginia. Jess Rostedt would also find the goal in the 41st minute, giving the Cavaliers the 2-0 lead at the half. Rostedt just recently returned to the team, after missing the better part of last season with a knee injury.
The second half saw Virginia pour it on, as the Cavaliers added four more goals to cruise to the 6-0 victory. The win improves Virginia's record to 9-1-1, and 3-0-0 in the ACC. They'll look to keep it going on Sunday, as they travel to Clemson to face the Tigers.
