Virginia grabbed a hard-fought win on Saturday, as the Cavaliers topped North Carolina, 16-13 in overtime. The Cavs were able to cool off the Tar Heels, who had won their last three coming into Charlottesville.
The win gives Virginia its third straight win, and improves their home record to 4-1 on the season. Cedric Peerman scored two touchdowns, one with 47 seconds left in regulation to tie the game, and the game winner in overtime. Peerman has scored five touchdowns in his last three games.
North Carolina scored on the opening drive, and defense dominated the game up until Virginia was able to execute the two minute drill at the end of regulation.
