The Cavalier football team grabbed its first road win of the season on Saturday, marking their fourth straight victory. Monday during his weekly appearance on CBS19 News at Noon, head coach Al Groh talked about his team's performance at Georgia Tech.
Groh discussed the offense's ability to fight back and put together another game winning fourth quarter drive. He also talked about the defense and how Bob Pruett's unit held the Yellow Jackets to 156 yards on ground, after they had averaged 248 rushing yards per contest entering the game.
The head coach also talked about Cedric Peerman and his big day. Peerman rushed for 118 yards and the game winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Virginia now leads the Coastal Division by a half game, but Groh is quick to point out that his team does not pay attention to that. The Cavaliers battle an up and coming Miami team on Saturday, a team that Groh says will be a tough test.
