The Cavalier women's basketball team will be without junior guard Paulisha Kellum for the entire 2008-2009 season. Kellum was one of four returning starters who would be looked upon to lead Virginia this season.
Kellum tore her right Anterior Cruciate Ligament during a scrimmage against George Washington this past Saturday. An MRI on Tuesday showed the extent of the injury.
Last season, Kellum started 31 of 33 games, averaging 9.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. Virginia opens its season on November 14 against High Point at John Paul Jones Arena.
