Gregg Brandon and Latrell Scott are the newest members of the Cavalier football coaching staff, head coach Al Groh announced today. Brandon will assume the roll of offensive coordinator, while Scott becomes the wide receivers coach. Current Virginia coach Wayne Lineburg moves from wide receivers to running backs.

Brandon comes to Virginia from Bowling Green, where he served as the Falcons' head coach for the last six seasons. He accumulated a 44-30 record and led Bowling Green to three bowl games. He is considered an innovator of the spread offense. Brandon replaces Mike Groh, who stepped down two weeks ago.

Scott spent last season as the wide receivers coach at Tennessee, and spent the three years prior to that as an assistant coach at Richmond.

We will keep you updated with more information on the coaching search as it becomes available.
