Virginia guard Sylven Landesberg has been named ACC Rookie of the Week once again, after helping lead UVa to wins over Hampton and Georgia Tech.
The freshman guard had nine points against the Pirates, then lit it up in his first career ACC game, scoring a game-high 26 points against the Yellow Jackets. Landesberg currently leads the ACC in scoring with 19.1 points per game.
This is the fourth time this season that Landesberg has won the award. He joins Bryant Stith, Ralph Sampson, Sean Singletary and Chris Williams as the only other Virginia players to be named ACC Rookie of the Week four times.
Landesberg and the Cavaliers host #22 Xavier on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 pm from John Paul Jones Arena.
