The Virginia women's basketball team stayed undefeated at home this season with a 62-60 win over Georgia on Friday.
Monica Wright and Lyndra Littles led the way for the Cavaliers with 24 and 23 points respectively. Aisha Mohammed played 15 minutes in her first game back since having arthroscopic knee surgery back on Dec. 10th. She did not score any points, but grabbed three rebounds.
With the win, Virginia improves to 8-0 at John Paul Jones Arena, 11-2 overall. The Cavaliers are now 2-0 against the SEC this season.
Virginia hosts Saint Francis (PA) Monday night at 7 pm, before beginning conference play against Wake Forest on Sunday Jan. 11. Tip-off is set for 2 pm from JPJ.
