Though the Cavalier Men's Basketball Team fell in a heart-breaker to Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon, Dave Leitao was able to take several positives out of the contest. One of those positives was the play of sophomore Mustapha Farrakhan, who posted the best game of his young career.

Farrakhan scored 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 12 minutes of play. He came on late in the second half, scoring 15 points in a span of 3:51, connecting on all four three point shots he took during that span. The sophomore brought the Cavaliers back into the game, with his first three pointer cutting the Hokie lead to 12, and his last cutting the lead to just four.

Farrakhan had averaged just above four points per game coming in. With consistent good play, he could become another big option for Leitao and the Cavaliers.

Farrakhan and Virginia host North Carolina on Thursday night at 9:00. Check out Marc Davis' Sports Blog to talk about the ACC right here on wcav.tv/sports.
