Virginia women's basketball team came into College Park winning four of their last five games. Including a win over the Terps back at the end of January. Tonight was a different story.
Knotted at 34 in the first half, The Terps went on a 10-2 run and ended the half up 44-39. After the break, things took a turn for the worse for the Cavaliers. Gaining a one point lead after a Lyndra Littles free throw, the Terps used a 9-0 run to pull away from Virginia eventually going on to win by a final score of 94-78
The Cavaliers were paced by Aisha Mohammed who had her ninth double-double of the year with 18 points and 17 rebounds, while four other Cavs were in double figures. Monica Wright had 14, Ariana Moorer had 12, and both Britnee Milner and Lyndra Littles chipped in 11. The Terrapins were led by Marissa Coleman who had 28, and Kristi Toliver who had 25.
