The Virginia baseball team got a strong outing from starting pitcher Andrew Carraway and beat North Carolina 5-2 to even up the series between the two teams.
Carrway went seven innings, allowing only three hits and one earned run. He also struck out three Tarheels on the way to his fourth win of the season.
Jarrett Parker and Steven Proscia paced the Cavaliers offensively. Parker had two hits and two RBI's, including a solo home run in the top of the 7th. Proscia had a 2-run home run in the top of the 6th, his fourth of the season.
With the win, Virginia improves to 22-3 on the year, 6-3 in conference play. The Cavaliers and Tarheels will play the rubber game of their series tomorrow. First pitch is set for 1 pm.
