The list of success that Virginia baseball has produced so far this season is extensive. Starting out the season 19-0 and setting a school record for consecutive wins the process. After dropping their last two conference series, the Cavaliers look to get back on the right track when they open up a three game set with Maryland on Friday.
This weekend marks another chance for the Cavaliers to right the ship as they take on Maryland. The Terps have struggled this season, having been swept by Florida State and Georgia Tech, and come into Charlottesville with a 13-15 overall record. The Terrapins do have a conference series win however, taking two of three from the NC State Wolfpack.
Virginia, meanwhile, has fallen upon tough times. After opening their ACC season 4-0 in the conference, the Wahoos have dropped four of their last six ACC meetings, and look for changes come this weekend. Virginia has lost two of three during each of their last two ACC sets to Miami and North Carolina, respectively.
First pitch at Davenport Field is set for 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
