In a series plagued by errors from NC State, Virginia seemed to have Sunday's match-up with the Wolfpack well in hand. The team didn't go so quietly. Even after putting up three errors in the contest, Virginia had a back and forth match-up with the Pack only this time ending up on the losing end.
Even after regaining the lead after the game was tied during a one-hour and forty eight minute rain delay, The Cavs bullpen stumbled a bit as Kevin Arico gave up a two run homerun to Pratt Maynard to make the score 7-6. In the ninth, with two out and a man on first, The dependable Jarrett Parker struck out to end the game as NC State handed the Cavaliers their ninth loss of the season.
The Hoos' are back in action on Tuesday, as they welcome Liberty to Davenport Field in the final contest before exam break.
